The ServSafe®Manager Course is a nationally accredited food safety certification program meeting the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture requirements for the Food Employee Certification Act. ServSafe® materials provided in this course reflect the latest science, research, FDA Food Code and food safety best practices as specialists from regulatory agencies, academia and the foodservice industry have created the resources to develop the class.
The ServSafe® Manager Course Certification created by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation is provided through Armstrong Nutrition Management by a former Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of Nursing Care Facilities Supervisor and a former Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Food Sanitarian. Whether your foodservice organization provides healthcare, fine dining or fast food, our instructor will be able to identify the specific needs of each student.
We will provide the ServSafe® Manager 7th Edition course book and two days of training in our Kittanning, Pennsylvania office. We also offer the option to instruct from your location in Western Pennsylvania if you have a group of students who desire training and your facility classroom area is applicable. After attending two days of training, participants will take an exam on the second day of training in the afternoon. The exam is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Conference for Food Protection (CFP). After passing the proctored, multiple choice exam with a score of 75% or higher, students will receive a ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certificate, which will be valid for 5 years and will meet the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture requirement for food safety certification.
Those who should attend include: Restaurant Owners, Food Service Directors/Managers, Supervisors, Chefs, Cooks, Food Handlers, Registered Dietitians (RDs), Registered Diet Technicians (DTRs) and Certified Dietary Managers (CDMs). Your organization may include groups of healthcare foodservice workers, school foodservice workers and privately owned restaurant employees.
Up to 10 hours of continuing education credits may be applied for the following disciplines: RDs, DTRs, and CDMs. You will be provided with documentation of instruction hours so that you may apply to your appropriate credentialing agency.
